The ministry of serving as a Lector is a very fulfilling one. One that helps youfeel closer to our Lord while proclaining the scriptures during Mass.
When you sign-up, you will be able to "shadow" a Lector until you feel
comfortable to read on your own.
To help you prepare for the scripture readings, you will receive a copy of the Workbook for Lectors that provides background on what was happening when the scripture was written along with commentary and a prounciation key. This helps you proclaim scripture with a fuller understanding.
You can choose to read at any Mass. A schedule is posted in the sacristy.
