General Information
The Faith Formation Ministry at St. Matthias provides catechtical programs for all ages at St. Matthias Catholic Church. The tasks of catechesis are:
- Promoting knowledge of the faith
- Deepening understanding of the liturgy and Sacraments
- Promoting moral formation in Jesus Christ
- Preparing Christians to live in community
- Promoting a missionary spirit
Programs
Pre-School Program: Sunday 11:00 to Noon
Elementary Age Programs: Monday 6:15 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
Junior High Program: Tuesday 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M
Reconciliation Classes: February
First Eucharist Classes: April
Confirmation: Tuesday 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M

Young Children Religious Education Section Head
Sande Finn
Sande has been a staff member at St. Matthias since 1975. She started with young children and currently leads the Religious Ed programs for young children in grades one through five. She also leads the "Jesus' Children" program where the children who attend the 11AM Mass learn the children's version of Sunday liturgy .
Sande is widowed and has 4 children and 4 grand children.
