Our pets are a gift from God. Every spring, St. Matthias has a "blessing of the pets" ceremony to thank God for giving us this gift. Dates/times of this event will be announced in the bulletin and on this website.

I've had my Border Collie Amiga (i.e., friend) since 1999. I continually see the presence of God through his faithfulness and love he shows for all people.
The Shemit Family
We have a cat, Maddie and an English Setter, Juliette. We see the presence of God in Maddie because she is very patient with her dog, Juliette. We also see the presence of God in Juliette because she loves everyone unconditionally. The picture of Maddie and Juliette was from the Shemit family, Mick, Mary, Angela, and Maria.
